I moved house a month ago when I got my new job. My old house was a lovely old converted cottage with a big garage which meant that I could store my car away at night. My new flat is in a totally different area and is a brand new purpose built, with out any garage and no real parking spaces. It never crossed my mind that because of moving house that my car insurance would be affected. I knew that my car insurance policy was taken out based on my old address and the fact that I had a garage, but the last thing on your mind when you move house is that you need to update the details on your car insurance. Anyway I rang up my insurer and amended the details. Now I can get on with settling in to my new home
