It’s hard to believe that in just a couple decades we’ve moved from vinyl records to compact discs to downloading online music. I remember the first time I read about iTunes and eMusic. It seemed a little weird to me to think about “not getting anything” with my music. I wanted the lumpy object. Part of what was fun about buying a new album was the album art and liner notes.

Honestly though, now that I’m used to it, I prefer the convenience of shopping for music online and I can do without the added packaging. I can always find reviews and notes online.

I’ve been going back through all of the interviews I’ve done over the years for the radio station, and I’m thinking about putting them up online as free podcasts for people to download. My daughter and future son-in-law attend college in Sussex. They will be married next June and are in need of a wedding photographer.
