At the height of the Clinton sexcapades, while his wife and staff were dragging every one of his bimbos through the mud, I heard the President of NOW interviewed. She was basically asked how as a woman she could support such treatment of other women. She replied that Clinton was too important to women’s issues like abortion to hold accountable dating advice for women [ serially harassing and exploiting mere women and girls). Any woman who goes off the plantation or any African American who does not toe the line is no longer female or black as far as liberals are concerned. Diversity of thought is to be trampled at all costs. By the way I am pro Choice.

Criminal trials should indeed be a search advice for newlyweds the truth. However, they have become a sort of game for attorneys.

One way to view criminal procedure case law is: Americans have a Constitutional right to commit murder and such, as long as they don’t do anything too stupid. So, there was the case where the police looked in from a fire escape: the evidence was thrown out, because the criminal should have thought of that, but it was not too stupid…so… And so on…

Police misconduct should be handled through law suits and disciplinary action, not through excluding evidence if it is reliable.

And then there are the warnings that have to be given when? And now maybe include a right to speak to an embassy council? (Note: the issue is not being able to do so, but the notion that each and every non-citizen must be specifically and explicitly advised each and every time.)

These just two examples of the tactics that have made criminal trials games.

James, I would like to “cut him some slack” but in this case the bigger you are the harder you fall. This guy is legend (never was to me only because I never followed him or fantasy football advice) but my my wife’s family is from Pittsburgh and both of her parents are 1950 alums and loved this guy (as millions did). From what I know he deserves most of that legend but this is and was his wakeup call. We will now see if Penn State football is bigger than the man. The powers to be did not think so as Mr. Paterno has not ‘really’ coached’ a game in years and was simply a figurehead (if not where is his headset during a game?). He obviously has a very big ego (or love of sport and money) which is one in the same in my book . Only time will tell what Penn State football really is. What a mess for the folks that supported this program, donated to Mr. Sandusky’s charity and generally believed in this tax funded institution. These is a time for full disclosure and prayer but remember, do everything as if it will be known because in this world or the next it will be.

Actually, I bought much of this music as soon as the LPs came out, so it holds few mysteries for me. But your comments are well taken.

I would have to disagree about recording symphonic music: do you multi-mike or use a minimalist crossed stereo pair? Why can’t we hear the violas? As to keyboard, Elite Recordings captured pianos with consummate skill, at the same period. I’d love advice to hear Horace recorded with their exquisite techniques.

The dynamic range of jazz drums must indeed be a killer to balance against string bass.

I guess my problem with van Gelder’s recordings is that they have his sound, which many love, obviously. To me it’s like the phony echo on many 50s recordings – though much more pleasing, esthetically. But I want to hear Sonny Rollins, not van Gelderized Sonny. RCA, Columbia, and Atlantic recorded jazz much more realistically, to my ears at least.

U5 & U6 are better measures of employment. In both cases unemployment has been in double digits throughout Obama’s entire term. Both figures are up, i.e. have gotten worse, since the end of last quarter’s seasonal employment.

Lastly, total employment at 132,409,000 is still over 5,000,000 below peak employment during the last business cycle of 138,023,000. This indicates a true sustained new business cycle has not yet commenced. Until that happens, GDP greater than inflation, for instance, we’ll continue to see these same types of results and continue to have these same types of no-win arguments.

Thanks for exposing the injustice. I would only add: Is it fair that the Fed is destroying the income from lifetimes of savings in its insane Keynesian rush to inflate another bubble?

Is it fair that bank cronies of the economists at the top echelons of power received trillions to cover their bad judgment?

Is it just that the government is still forcing lenders to provide loans to people with bad credit? That the execs at Fannie and Freddie who caused the collapse of the world’s economy go free advice of jail?

That the legislators that allowed our tax money be wasted on guaranteeing sure-to-fail loans are not charged with crimes against the public?

Is it sane that in three years we have descended from a free economy to ‘mostly free’ due to regulation strangulation and corruption?

Michael the reason you couldn’t vote for McCain & crew may be that the Grand Old Party is no longer grand nor old nor party. It has been purged, mostly, and the Grand Old Republicans are no longer looked to for advice goddess nor honored any longer by the fractured group/party that remains. I generally vote, and support Democratic values and candidates, but I had a healthy respect for many of the Repubs that have faded into oblivion, i.e. John Warner, Lincoln Chaffee, and others. The current party, I’m reluctant to call it Republican, doesn’t even resemble the party of the past, thanks to those who have become extremists such as Palin, Bachmann, Walsh, Hensarling, O’Donnell (how did they ever choose her) Angle, Brewer, Walker, Scott, Snyder, I don’t have enough room to list these strange people.

If theory of herd immunity was true, wouldn’t the entire population need to be up to first date advice with all vaccinations and boosters, not just those under age 18? Isn’t the purported population threshold for herd immunity to work, 80%?

Excluding a very small percentage of recent immigrants and those travelling to internationally to countries requiring up to date immunizations, a large preponderance of adults have not had a booster shot since what was required for high school attendance. At best, antibodies produced by a vaccine last ten years. I don’t know about you, but I do not know a single adult that has voluntarily decided to get booster shots. I think its safe to say that most adults, unless required, do not get them.

In 2010, 76% of the population of the United States is over the age of 18. If we presume that nearly all children/teens are fully vaccinated, we are still in a situation where three-fourths of the population of the United States is not current with their booster shots. That is far below the threshold required by the herd immunity theory and yet disease is not running wild. How do you argue that herd immunity is necessary to eliminate and prevent future disease when at any given moment, only 25% of our total population is fully vaccinated and current with boosters?
