Jordan release dates for my son

Monday, September 28th, 2009

I like to encourage my son to learn about those things that he is particularly interested in. Right now, he loves basketball. I want to find some Jordan release dates so I can buy some shoes for him. Does anyone know of a good place to look for this sort of thing? We have checked out the books that they have at our local library, but I would like to let him choose a shoed or two that we can purchase to put wear during his games. He is trying to learn all about the different skill so we’ll see how it goes.

Does Anyone Know of a Good Fitness Instructor?

Thursday, September 24th, 2009

I really need to do something to improve my body. Right now I am overweight and it is starting to affect my health. Does anyone know of a good fitness instructor? I am thinking of checking out Parramatta Fitness since I have heard good things about them, but I would like to know more about my options in case this doesn’t work out for me. I might not be able to arrange my schedule so that I can make their boot camp classes. I don’t want my health to get any worse, and I am tired of not looking my best.

Try These Vertical Jump Exercises for Basketball

Thursday, September 10th, 2009

In basketball vertical jump ability is key to maximum success on the court. Here are two different exercises you can do to jump higher. The first is ankle bounces. In ankle bounces you stand with your feet a little closer than shoulder-width apart. Jump using only your calf muscles and pushing off of your toes. This exercise will improve your calve strength which is crucial to jumping higher. The other exercise is jump squats. In jump squats you need to crouch down into a squatting position and jump from that position. As you land you want to land in squatting position just like what you jumped from so you can jump again. Continue this for however many repetitions you decide.

I love most seasons.  There is always something different to do when you live in a state with seasons.  Here in Michigan, my two favorite seasons are summer and winter.  Summer is occupied with our beautiful lakes and winter is a blast on the local hills with my snowboard.  There is nothing like the feeling of loading my equipment in my Snowboard Bags and hitting the slopes.  I love the feeling of the wind blowing past me as I race down the hill.  It is an amazing feeling and its beats staying inside just looking at the snow all day.

Indoor Sport Ideas

Wednesday, August 19th, 2009

Naturally, indoor sports are typically variations of the types you would play outside.  Basketball, for example is not a full game of in many ways. You cannot dribble, of course, and it’d be a little tough to get more than 2 folk to a team, but you can shoot, block, and pass just too. An air hockey table is a great thing to own for indoor sports.  It’s fun and simple and is it’s own setup.  Find a good one at http://www.air-hockey-game-table.com.  Miniature golfing with small plastic golfing clubs and cups are another idea. It’s pretty simple to line up tiny golfing courses in your own residence, using items round the house as obstructions and to order courses. Have fun with the mini versions of your favorite sports when you can’t play outside.

For the golf enthusiasts

Friday, July 31st, 2009

If golf isn’t just a hobby but a passion for you, those small “extras” to improve your game are priceless. Luckily, the Leupold GX-I Rangefinder is both helpful and very affordable for golf aficionados. You can set different targets on the golf course, and determine distances to really fine-tune your game. One Leupold GX-I digital golf rangefinder review notes that it is made by the same company who manufactures gun scopes - so their judgment and accuracy must be impeccable. You can find higher-priced and more intricate gadgets that do the same thing as the Leupold GX-I Rangefinder, but this promises to be a high-quality piece of golf equipment for a fraction of the price of its competitors.
