That phrase brings up an interesting point—learning how to learn is a large part of knowing how to learn to play guitar. Like any learning experience, learning how to play the guitar requires dedication and work. I’m the director of a middle school band. Many students sign up for Band assuming it’s an easy “A”. Before long, early morning practice, evening practice, and having to have a “pay attention” attitude lead most back to the counselor’s office to drop the class. Yes, our pianists march with the band, not pushing guitars, but carrying portable keyboards. They form an important part of our team. If you are ready to put your heart into it, you can learn to play guitar. It may even lead to a life-long career.
