If you are considering your options regarding where to purchase radio controlled boats, here are your choices – your local hobby shop, or online.Which is ‘better’? That really is a matter of opinion, each has there place in the market. If you are one that likes to tinker, and want to build your own boat, you may be more inclined to go to your local hobby shop…at least at first. The benefits are that you can get hands on help with your project, and advice on what to do next. As your skill level increases, however, you will probably find better ‘deals’ online. If you know what you are doing, and exactly what you need…I say go for the best price. Unless, of course, you just like hanging around the shop!For those of you that are more interested in ready to run radio controlled boats, I suggest you go online for the best prices. A ready to run boat is just that…plop in a battery pack, or fuel pack and get your boat in the water. I personally just like running my radio controlled boats, and have no interest in building one. For that reason, I like to shop online. I can pick the boat I want, order it, and usually have it in my hands in a couple of days. The choice, of course is yours. No matter what, enjoy the time you spend with radio controlled boats!
