I’m a 35 year old divorcee and I’d like to say how tutoring gave a meaning to my life. I was heavily depressed when my husband divorced me and I was on the verge of committing suicide. But I did not want to do such a cowardly act and wished to move on with life. Right then, my neighbour’s kids started coming to my place and get their doubts clarified. Slowly I started forgetting the bitter incident and devoted quality time teaching those kids. I thought of working for a private tutoring service and approached them. They welcomed me with open arms and open hearts and let me teach English and Spanish to middle school students. I felt the change in my personality. My students looked at me for advice and considered me as their role model. I now feel that I’m fulfilling the purpose of my birth through tutoring.
